Athena Global Learning (AGL) is proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Dr. Athena Joyce Stanley, has a new article published with The Learning Guild.

Titled Learning Design Beyond Burnout: Building Sustainable Practices with AI, the article explores a challenge facing many educators, instructional designers, and L&D professionals today: how to sustain meaningful, human-centered work amid growing demands and rapid technological change.

Rather than positioning AI as a shortcut or a threat, the piece examines how ethical, transparent AI integration can support more sustainable learning design practices, helping professionals refocus on purpose, creativity, and connection without sacrificing integrity or judgment. Grounded in real-world teaching and curriculum design experience, the article reflects AGL’s core belief that technology should support human expertise, not replace it.

We’re grateful to The Learning Guild for providing a platform for thoughtful, practitioner-focused dialogue around the future of learning and work, and for elevating conversations that prioritize sustainability, ethics, and human agency.
