This workshop helps middle and high school students build the AI skills they need for school, future careers, and daily life. Students learn how AI works, how to use it responsibly for writing, studying, and research, and, most importantly, how to check accuracy, avoid plagiarism, and maintain integrity. They will explore ethical challenges, learn practical prompt techniques, and see how AI is used in real workplaces and college programs.

Creative, Safe, and Age-Friendly AI Exploration

This hands-on session introduces upper-elementary students to AI in a fun, structured, and developmentally appropriate way. Students learn what AI is (and isn’t), how to use it safely, and how to ask questions with curiosity and responsibility. They will experiment with age-appropriate tools to build stories, spark ideas, and practice problem-solving, while learning the importance of honesty, privacy, digital citizenship, and verifying information.

This workshop uses Magic School, an education-focused AI tool that allows for guided, age-appropriate exploration without student accounts or sharing personal information, keeping creativity, safety, and human decision-making at the center.

Using AI Effectively, Ethically, and Responsibly for Learning

This interactive workshop introduces students and adult learners to practical, ethical ways to use generative AI as a study and learning support tool. Participants will explore how AI can help break down complex readings, create study guides, summarize academic texts, practice exam questions, and organize coursework, without replacing thinking or compromising academic integrity.

Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will practice using AI on their own phones or laptops and learn how to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness. The session emphasizes transparency, ethical use, and real-world study strategies that participants can apply immediately after the workshop.

Helping Families Navigate AI with Confidence

This workshop gives parents and guardians a clear, practical understanding of today’s AI tools, including what they are, how students use them, and how to support safe, responsible use at home. Participants will learn how AI can strengthen learning (not replace it), what healthy boundaries look like, how to spot misuse, and how to talk with children about ethics, digital safety, and academic integrity.

The session includes live demonstrations, simple examples you can try at home, and guidance for supporting your child’s curiosity while protecting their privacy and wellbeing.
