Creative, Safe, and Age-Friendly AI Exploration

This hands-on session introduces upper-elementary students to AI in a fun, structured, and developmentally appropriate way. Students learn what AI is (and isn’t), how to use it safely, and how to ask questions with curiosity and responsibility. They will experiment with age-appropriate tools to build stories, spark ideas, and practice problem-solving, while learning the importance of honesty, privacy, digital citizenship, and verifying information.

This workshop uses Magic School, an education-focused AI tool that allows for guided, age-appropriate exploration without student accounts or sharing personal information, keeping creativity, safety, and human decision-making at the center.

Best for: Students in grades 3–6
Focus Areas: Creativity • Digital Safety • Age-Appropriate AI Use • Critical Thinking
